I like to up cycle whenever I can, and I also prefer to use products with natural ingredients. So making my own all-natural bath and beauty products is a total fun activity for me. Recently I have been obsessed with homemade sugar scrubs. Keep them for those long weekend baths or a beautiful DIY gift for your loved ones.
Whenever I receive beautiful flowers especially red roses, the thought of seeing them getting age and decay makes me feel sad. So this time I came up with a solution to preserve and up cycle them in a useful way. So here I am Presenting Fanny’s Rose Petal Sugar Scrub.
All you need to make this natural homemade rose spa scrub is a few simple and inexpensive ingredients, a food processor and a pretty mason jar. Few minutes of work and you will get the most luxurious homemade rose sugar body scrub, which you can keep for more than a week outside and for 2 weeks in a refrigerator.
I made this scrub with the leftover rose petals, but if you are excited and can’t wait to try this recipe, buy a nice bouquet of roses.
Things You will need
- 2 cups of plain white granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup of baby oil/ coconut oil
- 8-10 roses, or 2 cups of rose petals
- a mason jar
put all ingredients in a food processor, run for 2-3 minutes or until rose petals completely squashed, and Voila your Magical Rose Scrub is ready! spoon it into a pretty mason Jar, you can decorate lid with pretty lace or spray paint it.
Tips:
- if you like more rosey fragrance, add rose water or rose essence
- if you like runny scrub, add more oil
Cool fanny!!
